Total sales volume of the company's newspapers in 2005 remained at record levels. Post Today, the company's Thai-language newspaper, retained its leadership position as the fastest-growing economic daily. Thanks to effective marketing and consistent reader-oriented sales strategies, in less than three years since its launch, Post Today has become a firm favourite with its target market. As it prepares to celebrate its 60th anniversary on 1 August 2006, the Bangkok Post continues to command the No. 1 position among Englishlanguage newspapers in Thailand while its competitors trail some way behind. Despite economic conditions, sales volumes of the Bangkok Post reached the highest level ever in its 59-year history . The Post Publishing Plc's other publications, including Student Weekly and various magazine titles, also enjoyed strong revenues in 2005. Despite slower economic growth, the Circulation Department can once again attest to the fact that sales of the company's publications continue to increase whatever the prevailing economic conditions. In this, the company has been well supported by the Marketing Department and the numerous campaigns launched to increase awareness of our publications, and attract a wider readership base. |
