Science Illustrated and AUA Language Center host “Hands on Experience Science Camp” in Singapore.
The science camp was a special project aimed at students interested in Science and English to give an opportunity to gain more experience and knowledge in science. The students learned and participated in activities at the exclusive camp. A Pre Departure Day 2-day programme for students was hosted at AUA Language Center so the students could get to know each other and get basic information about Singapore before travelling there. During 8 days and 7 nights in Singapore, students were given opportunities to join various activities, including a science course with foreign teachers from SAA Global Education knowledgeable in science. The course was divided into theory and practice parts. After the course, the students had the chance to visit various science-related places in Singapore, including: I-Fly (a virtual parachuting experience); Singapore Zoo; Night Safari; NEWater (a wastewater treatment plant); Science Centre; Snow City; Garden by the Bay (light and sound performance); Jurong Bird Park; Universal Studios Singapore; Little India (culture tour) and many more activities imparting both knowledge and enjoyment. A very good time was had by all.
