The biggest Thai fashion event of the year—ELLE Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2018 by Elle Thailand Magazine—the magazine for women that puts you in touch with the trends in fashion, beauty and lifestyle.
A collaboration between Post International Media Company and its sponsors, ELLE Fashion Week aims to raise the profile of Thai fashions to international level. The 20th edition in the series, ELLE has been putting on a glamour show for the Thai fashion community since 1999. The 5-day event takes place inside the magnificent white tent that has come to symbolise it at CentralWorld, packed with a festival of fashion.
At an ELLE Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2018 press conference held on 9 July 2018 at Ayara Hall, Jim Thompson House Museum, Post International Media Company (Elle Thailand Magazine) General Manager Poomchit Balankura said: “This year Elle Fashion Week is presented with the main objective of supporting and giving Thai designers a platform to showcase their work and potential on the international stage. 2018 is the 20th staging of the event, so we’re putting on more of a show than ever. The show’s going to include legendary Thai designers as well as new brands like Fresh Faces, which is ready to unveil its stunning, masterpiece collection.”
“Since the beginning, our commitment has never wavered. Over the past 20 years, we have organised this forum solely to support Thai fashion and designers. All we want is to give designers more opportunities to show their work at national and global levels. In the process, it has become the biggest fashion event in Thailand and one that fashion lovers always look forward to.”
“We not only support icon-level brands but provide space for new brands, and with some remarkable results. This being our double decade event, it will run for five days and involve 14 shows by some 19 famous and new-wave designers, including from Thai Designers Beyond Boundaries, supported by the Department of International Trade Promotion, The Ministry of Commerce.”
“The opening show will feature the legendary Kai Boutique by Somchai ‘Kai’ Kaewthong, a national visual artist.”
Other top designers and brands that will honour the occasion with their latest collections include: ASV, EVERYDAY KARMAKAMET, HOOK’S, KAI, KLOSET, LANDMEÉ, NIKE, PAINKILLER, VATANIKA, VICKTEERUT. Not to mention new wave designers, Meshmuseum, Mirror Mirror, Nicha, and others from THAI DESIGNERS BEYOND BOUNDARIES such as Arm Adi, Fon-Archive, Takara Wong, and Vinn Patararin.
