It was full-on fun all the way from 13-15 April 2018 as “M2F Presents Bangkok Songkran Festival 2018 @ CentralWorld” got into its swing taking over the entire area in front of CentralWorld.
With everywhere transformed into “Splash Kingdom”, a watery realm or revelry, each day from 12.00-21.00 hrs, the safe and sober celebrations were nonstop.
To ensure the latest annual event topped the lot, M2F closely collaborated with CentralWorld, True Corporation, Oishi, S&P and others. Together they mapped out a generous space in front of CentralWorld in which to organise a full-scale Songkran Festival in the heart of Bangkok.
Better yet, it was arranged as a safe Songkran celebration for folks of all ages and was 100% alcohol free.
As the 7th in the series of Songkran Celebrations, M2F newspaper established itself as integral to the Songkran festival in Thailand, setting the tone with culturally sensitive and creative play. Thanks also to the cooperation of concerned security agencies, including Pathumwan Police Station, Lumpini Police Station, Pathumwan District Office, Thais and visitors alike were welcomed to have fun without worries.
So everyone could celebrate in the same sincerely upbeat spirit, five policies were applied with respect to everyone: no impolite dressing, no-powder, no-alcohol, no-high pressure water guns, and water saving.
The three days were packed with fun activities thoughtfully tailored to the target groups of new generation urban dwellers and foreign tourists. Four activities zones provided the stellar highlights:
- ZUPER MARKET ZONE: varieties of food stalls and food trucks.
- SPARK ZONE: an army of artists and splashes with smiles, featuring AF and The Voice. Audiences enjoyed concerts by front-line bands each day, with Bodyslam, Slot Machine and Klear topping the bill on April 13, 14 and 15 respectively.
- SPLASH ZONE: fun water-splashing zone with activities arranged by an array of generous contributors.
- SPRAY ZONE: rocking with music played by DJs and the city’s largest ever foam party.
Much fun was had by all and who can wait for next year?
